Have you been looking at the newly released San Diego Comic Con schedule and been overwhelmed with how much there is to do? I’m not even going and I still can’t decide what I would want to see more on some of these days. There is however one thing that I think everyone should take the time out to go and see while they are geeking out at the con.
Sandwiched in between the insane amount of booths, celebs, and new movie announcement is something that doesn’t get as much coverage as it should, the international film festival. This is where a lot of indie directors, and big think tank projects get pitched and premiered. One film that premiered at this festival, and consequently took the world by storm, was a film called “Batman: Dead End”.
I’m sure just about everyone who has seen this film just uttered an “Aw shit yeah Batman: Dead End!” They aren’t wrong for saying that either. It was the premiere of director Sandy Collora.
Sandy got his start at the Stan Winston studio in 1988, and his work can be seen in Men in Black, The Crow, Dogma, Predator 2, and he designed the logo for Jurassic Park.
Yeah, that’s right, the fucking JP logo!
Hunter Prey is his latest film, and I have to say it looks just as cool as it sounds.
“Hunter Prey” is about a group of intergalactic commandos who crash land on a barren and unknown planet while transporting an alien prisoner who escapes and goes on the run. The commandos report in to their home base to seek assistance but are told they must track down and recapture their Alien prisoner at all costs…ALIVE. The surviving commandos play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with their former prisoner who is smart and not easily outwitted – but who is the hunter and who is the prey?
So any of you going to the con take the time to go support Sandy Corolla and make this film as popular as Batman: Dead End! If you swing over to the Hunter Prey website you can check out more stills, get some sweet downloads, and check out the recent great press on the film. It releases July 27th, and you can now order through Amazon.
Look below for some great stills from the film and the trailer!
Dude, I have been DROOLING for this to come out. I saw the teaser for it about a year and half ago and wanted nothing more for this to have already been out.
Also, thought you might be interested – Dario Argento has given David Gordon Green the greenlight to go ahead and remake Suspira

That trailer just got me so pumped dude! I’ve got my copy pre-ordered!
Sigh, the Argento thing just kills me man. I mean it wasn’t even like he was excited for this remake, he just sadly got tired of being hassled. I like how he’s still super narcissistic though.
he is “convinced that his movie is a masterpiece and can’t be overshadowed.”
And I agree…but I’m sick of Argento’s new work…it’s bad.
